LoveWell Ministries Discipleship Cohorts
God created us to be known and loved. He made us to be in relationship with Him and other people.
Our discipleship cohorts are made up of believers who are intentional about following and learning from Christ, being Spirit-led, pouring into each other’s lives, and helping each other grow in love. The cohorts meet weekly from Fall through Spring and follow a 30-week discipleship training plan of practicing spiritual disciplines that create space to encounter God in a tangible way.
The focus is on relationship with God, who is love, and then from right relationship with God, how we love and impact those around us, or as Jesus says, “our neighbors.” The discipleship training plan was built to bring the words of Scripture to life and see it lived out.
We believe the “harvest is plentiful, and the laborers are few.” We’ve created this cohort with community in mind, as it is a core principle of our faith. The goal is to look at relationship with God from the Bible’s perspective, encounter God, and let Him give the growth. From being in a right relationship with God, we can walk in our gifts and calling, and give from the abundance of what God has given us. Christians should not only look different from the world, but we should be sharing the impact Jesus has on us by inviting others to come “taste and see that the Lord is good.”
Who are these discipleship cohorts for?
The ideal candidate would be any believer who is actively participating within the Body of Christ and wants to go deeper into their faith and discipleship... church and ministry staff, lay leaders, and volunteers who have influence within their respective communities are highly encouraged. All believers are welcome!
Why should I join and/or encourage others to do so?
To have greater impact within the Kingdom of God through the good fruit you'll bear by actively walking in the purpose and calling God has for you and using your gifts to love and build up others.
